The construction of this unique log home took 2 ½ years to complete. The designing of Hertel's Beach House was a challenge that required special and careful consideration due to the terrain upon which it now proudly stands. From the Sunset Suite and it's adjoining balcony, you are able to enjoy a stunning view of each sunset and the ever- changing waters of the Pacific Ocean. Whether you are sitting on the private beach, or in the Sunrise Suite, you will begin to fully appreciate the secluded and peaceful nature of the region. The Sunshine Suite, with its extra elevation, allows views of both the sunrise and the private beach, giving you a romantic retreat of your own.
Ucluelet is home to many tourist attractions. Ocean kayaking, nature hikes, and even an aquarium featuring local specimens are all available. Take a short walk to the world famous Amphitrite Point Light Station and watch the waves crash on the rocks, or take a drive to Tofino and visit local art galleries.
